Some people know me by my (re)membered Ayisyen indigenous name Chèche Fouye Bon Manbo”.- i also use my –IFA name Arira Adeeke

I am a Manbo Asogwe living in Ayiti !

I grew up in a spiritual sanctified home, and learned from a very early age how important collective prayer and ritual makes access to the necessity of healing both collective and individual. I am the daughter of a Hougan the great granddaughter of Manbo Dantes and the great-granddaughter and many greats of farmers both on Gullah Geechee land and lands of Ayiti. I have travelled the world in search of how to create sanctuaries for Black folks with the traditions of our ancestors.

As a certified Full Spectrum Doula + Clinical Herbalist/Rootworker, I offer a variety of healing services centered around African indigenous practices

This Journey of deconizing all of who I am a journey of self liberation and indigenizng my existence which is rooted in my birth story that bloomed here in Jacmel, Haiti. I experienced a deep invitation from my ancestors to journey on this birthing sacred rites of passage I give praise to the all the spirits of Ginen, forcing me to conquer my fear and embrace my fullest-self on this journey to liberation and decolonizing all of my self. I held so much love, pain, grief and joy in this island I knew that it was an essential part of my commission to move to this brave lands and truly- create LIFE -I have the honor of bringing my birth team alongside me to teach this sacred course. I will be called facilitating with my Midwife Edouard Roosevorbes….. and my famn sag , elder and teacher Manbo Carmel .. this class would be taught in both English and Kreyol. We have the honor of having a divine translator, my best friend and godmother to my sweet child , Manbo Taleah

As a birth worker, I know how important it is to empower Black women to make their own choices when it comes to childbirth, especially when they’re already at a disadvantage due to white supremacist tactics living in our medical system.

With us as your team, you will embark on a journey that transcends the boundaries of conventional learning, ensuring they are well-equipped for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
